Over the last week all of the children have been involved in creating our weather reports using the equipment in the studio.
We finished our filming and then used the computers to create the final films.
On Thursday we had a special visit from the Lincoln reptile and pet centre. We had so much fun singing Baa Baa Black Sheep with Romeo the Parrot and meeting MR T’s ( the giant tortoise ( MR T) and his best friend the bearded dragon who likes to ride on his shell. Barney the owl was softer than we thought and the Meerkats enjoyed getting meal worms out of their balls. Sid the snake liked lots of strokes and cuddles. We found out lots of facts about how to look after the animals, where they live and what they like to eat. It was a great experience.
The carnival led the competitors on to the field to carnival music and applause from all the mums, dads, family and local community. A great sporting day was had by all.
This week we have been having lots of fun learning our phonics. We have been playing phonic fishing, speedy spelling and sound snap!
We have been very lucky to have Mr Sledge come in and teach us how to move around the different apparatus in the hall. We have been learning how to jump and land safely, how to move in different ways and how to create different shapes with our bodies.
We have been looking at the story ‘Handa’s surprise’ and thinking about how people live, eat and dress in Africa. We had a special visitor come in and teach us some african dances, songs and stories. We even got to dress up as Zulu warriors and african princesses.
