We have had a wonderful day today celebrating world book day.

The Year 5 children came down to Foundation Stage so we could share  books. The year 5 children introduced themselves and then read them books of their choice. Our children thoroughly enjoyed this experience. The Key Stage 2 children then asked ours lots of questions about books to find out the type of books that they enjoy and why. Lots liked rhyming or lift the flap books, some preferred non-fiction to stories but all had lots of ideas.

The Year 5 children returned to their classes to make each child an individual book based on their preferences. They will be coming to visit us again soon to deliver their books. How exciting will that be?

the children had many opportunities throughout the day to share the books they brought in from home with their friends. It was a lovely day. Each child has been given a £1.00 off voucher towards the purchasing of a book to take home with them today.
