Book Competition

We love to read.

The book fair has arrived.  It will be available to browse and purchase from during parent conferences.

Competition time

You could be in with a chance to win yourself a £5 gift voucher, to use at the book fair, by drawing a picture of your favourite book or a character from your favourite book.  Please put your name on the back.

We will enjoy sharing your pictures with the class and it might even inspire other children to want to read it. We will draw all entries on Friday and take them to the book fair to choose their prize.

Good luck.

Terrific Tapestry

Thank you for your patience whilst your passwords were being created for your child’s tapestry profile. It is fantastic to see so many of you already commenting and adding your own observations. We enjoy seeing all of the wonderful experiences your children are having with you.

Phonics workshop

Thank you to those parents who were able to attend the phonics meeting last night. It was a great opportunity to meet you all and for you to see how wonderfully resourced we are to make phonics learning fun.

If you are unable to attend we will be sending home a hand out which explains the terminology we use with the children and offers a few examples of the games and resources used in school.

If you have any further questions, as always, do not hesitate to speak to one of our team.

Our LSAs are amazing.

Today is national teaching assistant day. We are extremely lucky in our school to have the most amazing LSAs.

Foundation Stage celebrated with with a party. Mrs Burgess, Ms Harrison and Mrs Walker were all very surprised and we danced and played party games. We cheered and clapped when they were awarded their crowns and stickers and scrolls. We are very grateful for their knowledge and talent.  Continue reading

You are invited…

Calling all Foundation Stage parents. Next Wednesday (20th September 2017) we will be holding a phonics workshop starting at 5.15pm.This workshop will be a brilliant opportunity for you to find out about how we will be teaching your child to read and write during their first year at school. You will find out about the phonics language that we use with your children and gain some ideas for how to support your child at home. You will also find out about when and how your child will receive their reading books. Unfortunately the workshop is not suitable for children to attend but we are really excited to see as many of you as possible.
